Here at Three Rivers and Chapelfield Farm Vets, we love supporting veterinary students by taking them out on farm with us to experience both routine and emergency farm work! Whilst on placement with us, we aim to make you feel like part of the team and get you involved with clinical tasks where possible.
Due to high demand, we are currently only able to accept placement enquiries from veterinary students in third year and above. To get the most out of your placement, we recommend having access to a car. As we cover a large geographical area, this will enable you to join our vets on more visits and gain a broader experience of our work.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer accommodation, but can share a list of suitable places to stay on request. If you are looking for financial support towards accommodation and/or fuel costs during your placement, you may be eligible for the IVC EMS Bursary. You can find further information and details of how to apply for this here: https://ivcevidensia.co.uk/ems-bursary.
If you are interested in seeing practice with us, please complete the following application form, indicating your availability and specific areas of interest, and attach a copy of your CV. We will aim to respond to you as soon as possible, but please do bear with us as we are a busy practice!
